Congratulations on your engagement!!! Now it's time to plan your wedding. Where to start??? Most couples choose to start with picking their venue and for good reason. Your venue will literally be the starting point for every other vendor and plan that you make for your BIG DAY.
As a Cambridge-based wedding photographer, I wanted to share some of what I personally think are some of the best venues, both big and small, in Waterloo Region and surrounding areas in order to help you in the venue research process.
Here are 5 of the highest recommended wedding venues in Kitchener Waterloo
Cambridge Mill
100 Water St N, Cambridge
First up on the list of top wedding venues Kitchener Waterloo is The Cambridge Mill. It is easily one of the most popular venues in the area for many reasons. The first being their stunning ceremony pavillion pictured above. The glass walls of the pavillion literally overlook the Grand River which creates such a stunning view to have behind the altar during your ceremony. As part of the Pearle Hospitality Group, they provide great support and coordinators to help you along the way. My personal favourite part of the Cambridge Mill is that there food is unbelievably good. I have never had a bad meal here ever. My only warning with this venue is that it can fall slightly out of budget for the cost-saving couple.
Roseville Estate
2283 Roseville Rd, Cambridge
If you are looking for a intimate feeling venue that is outside of the busyness of the city, then this is 100% my recommendation for you. Only minutes outside of the Cambridge city limit and from the 401, you feel like you're at a country cottage while not having to worry about taking your guests down a mystery back road. I also love the bonus points that the Estate gets for the timeless, historic feel it has without feeling trendy or dated in any way.
Storehouse 408
408 Queen St W, Cambridge
I have to say that Storehouse 408 is one of my favourite small venues of all time in the region. The inside space is gorgeous on its own, but then they take the aesthetic one step further by having the garage doors able to open in the summer months and a beautiful back private patio area that makes for a killer ceremony space. This is for sure one of the highest recommended spots in the region. Fun fact, the space is actually converted from what use to be a Beer Store.
Cellar 52
1430 King St N, St. Jacobs

I love the combination of vibes and value that Cellar 52 brings to the table. To start with they are located in St. Jacobs and who isn't obsessed with St. Jacobs already? The vibe of the whole venue is classy and luxury meets small town and country. In the summer months, you can take advantage of their back patio space for drinks and first dances under string lights. Because of their great location in the village, they even offer options to be able to have riverside ceremonies in the back portion of their property in the summer months.
DTK Chapel
200 King St W, Kitchener
Did you say elopement??? The DTK Chapel is uplike every other venue on this list which makes it unique. While this is not your typical wedding venue, it is ideal for micro wedding couples that want literally just their closest people and that's it for their ceremony. The DTK Chapel is a ceremony space designed for the two of you, your officiant, and 37 of your closest friends and family. I love intimate and special this space feels. Who said you had to do something massive for your wedding???
Next Steps???
Any wedding expert will tell you that the next step after booking your venue is to book your photographer so while you're here, why not jump over to my contact page and inquire with me??? I would love to jump on a call with you + your babe to chat everything your wedding and how I can help you capture it.
